We found the body of Jac our beloved three legged goanna, today, April 7 2022.
She was very special to us being the one animal that we have known here at Istari since the late 1990s.
As mentioned in our blog, We call her Jac, she was probably over 25 years old and possibly blind.
We're not certain how she died. She may have drowned in one of the several floods we have had recently as we found her body near the wetland where it had flooded. You might remember her rescue in a flood in February 2022 - Mini flood becomes the biggest biggerly flood, most tremendous flood ever.....
She was an amazing wild animal and brought us much joy over many years. We will miss her presence and cheeky antics.
