Male red-necked wallabies will move around quite a bit looking for females although some will return to their original home area frequently. When they encounter another male the dominant one will usually chase another male away otherwise they will fight.

You will often see the larger males with multiple injuries from these often brutal fights. They can go on for some time until one wallaby decides he has had enough and looks to escape.
